At 24usd a license, HueForge is affordable even for students and there is not a specific student discount.

Your expected use case will determine which license you need. If you plan to sell prints to fundraise or encourage users to make prints to sell you should get the appropriate Commercial license. Regardless of the license, the standard terms apply in terms of updates and subscription periods (where applicable).

For a strictly educational/non-profit application, the Personal Use license is entirely appropriate.

If you are an School, Vocational Training, or non-profit Makerspace with fixed computers in a lab setting, you need 1 license per 5 computers in the lab regardless of the number of users of those computers.

If you have School/Lab owned laptops which students/users take home with them, but the computers are attached to the lab and not the student (IE they turn them in at the end of their time) then the Computer Lab rules apply.

If the computers follow the students, then 1 license per 5 unique students is required.

Volume licensing discounts are available if you wish to bulk-buy licenses for your students/users to install onto their own personal computers.
